“Herald of Ragnarök and ruler of Múspelheim, Surtr's towering might was forever feared throughout the Nine Realms. Armed with his blade, brighter than the Sun, and with the Sons of Múspel at his side, Surtr's simmering rage is destined to be unleashed in a blazing inferno that will unmake all of creation. And unless the Einherjar can stop him here, Miðgarð will be the first to be consumed by the flames of conquest.

Surtr is an Ancient in Tribes of Midgard who can take on one of two forms: Lavasinger Surtr or Blademaster Surtr.
Surtr's Lair is located atop the Volcanic Spire. To get there, a Gateway in the Glacier Peaks will need to be unlocked with materials gathered from Outposts, defeated enemies and completed Events.
At the fiery island, gates block the red ramps which lead to the next ring of the Spire and will only open after defeating a number of enemies: Lavættir on the first level and Múspelorms on the second. The final obstacle is getting past Aska & Edlur, the Elite General Brennálfar Witches and their companions before finally reaching the entrance to Surtr's dwelling.
Once inside, blow the Horn of Múspel to summon Surtr, but beware... he brings the heat with his Blade of Fire and hot, hot breath.

- Appearance-wise, Surtr's design echoes that of supervillain of the same name from Marvel Comics and his Marvel Cinematic Universe series, though he leaned more to the latter in courtesy of both wearing horned helmet/headpiece as part of their combat gear.
