although the drop table and the journal say that oiled leather is dropped it actually depends on the tier of Brennálfar, the lower tier ones dropping regular Leather and the higher tier dropping oiled leather, the same is true for dökkálfar warriors,

Muspellsheimr or Muspelheim (from Old Norse Múspellsheimr), also called Múspell, is one of the Nine Realms and is the realm of fire in Norse mythology. It is the homeworld of the Eldjötnar (fire giants) or the "sons of Muspell", and Surtr (Surtur), their ruler. Muspelheim is fire; and the land to the North, Niflheimr, is ice. The two mixed and created water from the melting ice in Ginnungagap, from which Ymir was born.
